Membership

The Iraqi Democrats Movement in Denmark (Iraq Deserves Better) is an inclusive organization, and membership is subject to the following conditions:

A: Full Membership
Every Iraqi residing in Denmark or elsewhere has the right to join the movement if they believe in its nature, principles, and goals, actively contribute to them, pay the annual subscription, and have the right to nominate and vote for the coordination body.

B: Supporter Membership

This membership is open to Iraqis residing in Denmark or abroad, as well as non-Iraqis or Danes, who align with the movement’s principles and goals, albeit without voting or nomination rights for the coordination body.

D: Honorary Membership

Honorary membership is granted to individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of democracy in Iraqi political life. This membership is at the discretion of the Coordination Body and does not include voting or nomination rights.

Membership Characteristics:

A- Members represent themselves exclusively, and are prohibited from representing political institutions or parties.

B- Members may not exploit their affiliation with the movement for personal gain.

C- Members have the right to participate in all bodies, committees, and activities.

D- Membership renewal is contingent upon payment of the annual subscription.

E- The Coordination Body reserves the right to temporarily expel any member found to be working against the goals of the Iraqi Democratic Movement, with the approval of two-thirds of its members. The temporarily expelled member has the opportunity to defend themselves at the annual general meeting, which has the authority to approve or reject the decision.
